Studied Ballet and Tap dance as a child. Later at school she learned the Flute eventually ending up in the school orchestra. After leaving school for a while she took various jobs before going to University; Canterbury, Christ Church, where she graduated in Dance and Drama. Whilst in Canterbury, as a pastoral interest, she took up piano.
So between the piano and flute-which she still plays-and dances, she learnt to have a better understanding of music. Eventually after leaving University she worked for a charity, Mencap, where she spent several years. After leaving Mencap, she took up a career in finance and went on to became one of the most academically qualified in finance at that time and owning her own business in what otherwise, was and still is, largely a man's world.

Andy Fleming & Reena Swanpoole, Simon Selmon, Ryan & Jenny, James Hamilton and not forgetting the great Frankie Manning, with whom she had one lesson, not long before he died.
